Following are statistical summaries of three reports of cases of death or disappearance documented by Cuba Archive. Each one has a record in our database, which is available online in real-time at no cost, offers search options by name and multiple criteria, and allows for aggregate reports.
The actual number of victims is thought to be much higher, as only reported cases with sufficient data may be "documented."
Cuba Archive's work is not about numbers, it is about human beings whose lives and dreams have been stolen. They have left behind a river of tears for their loved ones and deep wounds to the nation.
The alarming and continuing cost in human lives of the 65-year Cuban totalitarian regime has no precedent in the modern history of the hemisphere compared to any other dictatorship, military or otherwise. It has countless more victims in many other countries, including in other continents, from the Cuban regime's military interventions, subversive activities, and influence; the most obvious current example is Venezuela.
Please help us disseminate these findings and raise international awareness of this tragedy, so the Cuban people can regain all their freedoms and this injustice and suffering can end.
